Privacy Screening for Double-Rod Mesh Fencing – Strips and Rolls
The strip runs vertically through the mesh, alternating in front of and behind the horizontal double rods. That is why the material is almost always 190 mm high: the double-rod panel has a mesh size of 50 x 200 mm, and the strip needs those 10 mm of clearance to be threaded through at all. Everything here therefore fits 5/4/5, 6/5/6, 6/6/6, 6/8/6 and 8/6/8 alike.
Strips or Rolls
Strips are cut to panel length – 2530, 2560 or 2600 mm depending on the series – and are threaded in panel by panel. Rolls come as a continuous band of 26, 35 or 70 meters. This lets you thread across several panels without starting again at every post, but you have to trim to length yourself at the end of each run.
How Much You Need
Calculate by rows, not by area. The number of strip rows is the fence height divided by the mesh height of 200 mm. That figure multiplied by the fence length gives you the linear meters. Add one row as a reserve – on many panels the bottom mesh sits so close to the ground that it is hard to work there.
What Goes With It
The ends of every run need to be secured, otherwise the strip will work its way out of the mesh in wind. You will find clamping rails, end strips and the unrolling aid under Clamping Strips & Privacy Screen Accessories. The matching fence is under Double-Rod Mesh Fences.
