Two leaves instead of one: the opening is divided, the single leaf stays short and puts less load on the hinges. For property entrances with room to swing open, this is the most economical and lowest-maintenance solution.

Clear width and stop

What counts is the clear width between the gate posts, measured in the finished state. Gate posts need a considerably larger foundation than fence posts – they carry the entire leaf weight and are under load every time the gate is opened. For heavy leaves we carry base plates in 80 x 80 mm under Base plates, anchors & screws.
