Railings

We manufacture railings from hot-dip galvanized steel, optionally powder-coated (duplex, e.g. RAL 7016 anthracite), as well as from rust-free stainless steel (V2A/V4A). Infill options include vertical bars, glass, perforated sheet or wood - all versions are weatherproof and durable.

According to the state building codes, at least 90 cm applies up to a fall height of 12 m, and 110 cm above that. To protect children, the clear spacing of vertical infill bars may not exceed 12 cm.

We manufacture in a DIN EN 1090 certified specialist workshop with verified structural analysis. Industrial railings for workplaces additionally comply with DIN EN ISO 14122-3.

Depending on the situation, either top-mounted (on the floor or balcony slab) or front-mounted (on the face). Heavy-duty or bonded anchors with building authority approval are used, which safely transfer the loads into the load-bearing component.

Horizontal bars are critical (ladder effect for children) and are not permitted above certain fall heights in many state building codes. Safe alternatives are vertical infill bars, glass or perforated sheet.

Your railing is delivered handcrafted in Germany, made to measure with millimeter precision as a ready-to-install kit - for quick, code-compliant self-assembly. We are happy to assist you on request.

A hot-dip galvanized balcony railing (Bavaria model) starts at approx. €199, a French balcony at approx. €245, powder-coated models like Lines from approx. €285, Vista glass railings from approx. €397, and stainless steel sets (Domus E/S, 150 cm module) from €472. The online configurator shows the price for your desired dimensions instantly (as of 07/2026).

Both are permanently weatherproof. Hot-dip galvanized steel is the economical solution, optionally with a powder coating in your preferred RAL color (duplex protection). V2A stainless steel is rust-free and elegant; near the coast or where chlorine exposure is a factor, V4A is recommended. In the end, the choice mainly comes down to looks and budget.

A railing serving as fall protection generally does not require a separate permit, but it must meet the requirements of the applicable state building code (including a height of 90 or 110 cm and a maximum bar spacing of 12 cm). Your local building authority can provide binding information for your project – we manufacture your railing to match these requirements.

Balconies

An attached balcony is mounted to the facade and carried by brackets or anchors; a self-supporting balcony additionally stands on its own supports; a French balcony is just a railing in front of a floor-to-ceiling opening without a walkable surface.

Load-bearing structures made of hot-dip galvanized steel or aluminum; railings made of stainless steel, powder-coated steel, glass or perforated sheet; decking made of wood, WPC or cast stone, for example.

Usually yes, since it changes the facade and requires structural verification. For condominiums, the approval of the homeowners' association (WEG) is also required.

At least 90 cm up to a fall height of 12 m, 110 cm above that; the clear infill bar spacing no more than 12 cm.

Since the parts are precisely prefabricated, a professional crew usually needs only 1 to 2 days for the actual installation.

Porch roofs

Since the insulation cannot bear any loads, special anchors are required. Special stand-off mounting systems (thermal stops) create a force-fit connection into the masonry behind, without thermally breaking through the insulation layer.

To provide real weather protection, the porch roof must be generously sized. It should extend at least 20 to 30 cm beyond the width of the front door on both sides and have a minimum depth of approx. 100 cm.

• A porch roof must never be stepped on directly for cleaning!
• The best way to clean the roof is with warm soapy water and a telescopic wiper with a soft rubber squeegee, working from a secure ladder.

A strict safety standard applies to all overhead glazing. We use laminated safety glass (VSG), which in turn is made from heat-strengthened glass (TVG), to prevent injuries from falling shards in the event of breakage. Alternatively, acrylic glass can also be used.

A small porch roof covering just the front door is usually permit-free under building law as a subordinate structure. However, if the house is a listed building or the porch roof projects into the public street space, the building authority must be contacted.

Because every porch roof is made as a one-off to your dimensions, the delivery time depends on the model and the chosen finish. It is currently between 14 and 35 days; the binding figure is stated on every product page directly below the price. Shipping is free and is handled by freight forwarder or parcel service with advance notice of the delivery date, so you can plan for the delivery.

Yes. On request we carry out the on-site measuring and the professional installation at your front door – consultation, planning and measuring are handled exclusively by qualified metalwork specialists. If you prefer to install it yourself, you receive all components ready to fit, including instructions and suitable fixing material for the most common substrates. Just get in touch with us to arrange a measuring appointment.

Cantilevered porch roofs (clamped only in a wall profile) look fragile but are structurally extremely load-bearing. If the calculated glass thickness (VSG laminated safety glass) is matched to the respective snow load zone, they easily withstand even heavy, wet snow.

Yes, some of our porch roofs have the lighting integrated into the profile, often invisibly. High-output LED strips sit water-protected in the rear wall connection profile or illuminate the glass roof from the support arms.

The mounting height is often a matter of visual taste, but it should be practical. Ideally, the lower edge of the porch roof is positioned about 20 to 30 cm above the top of the door frame to ensure sufficient headroom.

A rain gutter is usually not mandatory. On classic mono-pitch roofs sloping toward the front, the integrated drip edge is sufficient to let rainwater drip off in a controlled manner in front of the entrance area. Some models also feature an integrated water spout.

Canopies

We manufacture porch roofs, patio canopies, carports and solar/PV carports, bicycle shelters and bike houses, waiting shelters, smoking shelters, bin storage canopies as well as basement stairway canopies - all custom-made from metal.

The load-bearing structure is made of hot-dip galvanized and optionally powder-coated steel (e.g. RAL 7016), aluminum or stainless steel. Depending on the model, the roofing consists of laminated safety glass (VSG), multiwall/polycarbonate sheets or trapezoidal sheet metal.

That depends on the federal state, size and type of construction. Small, open canopies are often exempt from permits up to a certain footprint, while large or enclosed structures usually require a building permit. When in doubt, a quick call to the building authority helps.

Yes. The structural design is adapted to the local snow and wind load zone and manufactured in a DIN EN 1090 certified workshop with verified structural analysis. On request, we supply the corresponding structural documentation.

Depending on the model, via frost-free pad or strip foundations or a concrete slab; free-standing or wall-mounted versions are additionally fixed with heavy-duty or bonded anchors. This ensures permanent stability.

Depending on size and accessibility, we deliver fully assembled (for large structures e.g. by crane truck) or as a prepared kit. On request, we also take care of professional installation on site.

Yes, all canopies are handcrafted in Germany, planned and produced exactly to your dimensions and requirements - from consultation to installation.

Bin storage boxes

• The unit has a waterproof tray on top with an integrated drain.• First fill in a drainage layer of expanded clay.• Add roof garden substrate on top and plant it with low-maintenance plants such as sedum (stonecrop).

To prevent tipping in storms, metal units must be securely fixed. They are anchored firmly to a foundation or paving stones via holes in the base plate using solid concrete screws or anchors.

If you want to enjoy your unit for a long time, go for metal. Models made of high-quality stainless steel or powder-coated steel (e.g. in anthracite) are especially corrosion-resistant and remain weatherproof outdoors for many years.

Hot-dip galvanized, powder-coated steel sheets are particularly resistant, as they are insensitive to impacts and easy to clean. For a warmer look, our units can also be combined with weatherproof wood cladding (e.g. larch).

The size of the unit must match the liter capacity of your municipal bins exactly. The most common sizes used by municipal waste services are 120 liters for residual waste and 240 liters for the paper bin.

A fully enclosed unit prevents the sun from beating down directly on the plastic bins. As a result, the waste heats up considerably less, which significantly reduces unpleasant fermentation processes and strong odors.

Multifunctional units are becoming increasingly popular. Many manufacturers offer modular systems that, in addition to the waste bins, include a lockable, burglar-proof parcel box for delivery services.

Yes, modern units often feature a very convenient gas spring system in the lid. It lets the heavy metal lid swing up gently on its own after a light tap.

In most federal states, bin storage units up to a height of 2 meters are considered an enclosure or minor structure under building law. They may therefore generally be placed directly on the boundary with the neighbor.

A single bin storage unit in stainless steel with wooden posts starts at approx. €876 (120 l), all-stainless-steel units from approx. €1,268, and the lockable BINBOX in color-coated steel from €1,344.70. Double units start at approx. €1,580–2,023 depending on the series, and walk-in bin storage enclosures from approx. €6,680 (as of 07/2026).

We deliver the stainless steel and wood/stainless steel models fully assembled by freight carrier – all you need to do is put the unit in place. The BINBOX series in coated steel comes as a compact kit with instructions (delivery time approx. 4 weeks); thanks to articulated feet, it can also be leveled on slightly uneven ground.

Yes. Thanks to their sturdy rear panels, our units are free-standing and are well suited as storage space for garden tools and toys, or as a covered bike shelter. For entire groups of bins plus bicycles, we offer walk-in bin and bike enclosures in six sizes with wood or stainless steel perforated sheet cladding.

Bike parking systems

The exact number is regulated by the respective state building code and municipal parking ordinances. As a rule, developers of apartment buildings must provide 1 to 2 easily accessible bike parking spaces per residential unit.

Spacing that is too tight leads to tangled handlebars and paint damage. For comfortable parking, the ADFC recommends a side-to-side spacing (bike spacing) of 70 to 80 cm.

Since bike racks must withstand extreme weather conditions and mechanical stress, hot-dip galvanizing is essential. Steel that has been hot-dip galvanized in an immersion bath remains completely rust-free and low-maintenance for decades.

• Choose racks designed to be set in concrete if the ground is still unpaved (the posts are set into a point foundation).• Alternatively, use models with base plates that are firmly bolted into existing concrete or paving stones with heavy-duty anchors.

The range extends from simple elements to large-scale facilities. Common options are classic leaning hoops, space-saving row racks (wheel clamps), two-tier racks, and fully enclosed bike boxes.

To fit many bikes into a small area, you have to build upward. Two-tier racks and vertical hanging racks maximize the use of floor space and are ideal for basements or garages.

The German Cyclists' Association (ADFC) certifies systems that are particularly gentle on bikes and secure. Such racks allow the bike frame to lean without tipping and provide eyelets for locking the frame directly with a lock.

For particularly valuable bikes or e-bikes, enclosed units are a good choice. Lockable bike boxes or collective shelters with digital access control offer maximum protection against theft and vandalism.

High-quality two-tier racks are designed precisely for this. They feature guide rails with an integrated gas spring or lift assist, so even pedelecs weighing up to 30 kg can be lifted to the upper level almost effortlessly.

Smoking shelters

A professional smoking shelter enables clean spatial separation in accordance with non-smoker protection laws without compromising the comfort of employees or guests. It also keeps the company premises clean, as it provides a central gathering point and minimizes uncontrolled littering.

The range extends from simple canopies open on one side to complex smoking pavilions or almost fully enclosed smoking cabins. The choice of the number of side walls directly affects the desired weather protection against wind, rain, or snow.

Yes, thanks to modular construction, the systems can be adapted flexibly. They can be optimally positioned on spacious open areas as well as in confined spaces such as courtyards or on roof terraces.

Functional components are available for the models (such as Modell K, Passau, or R). Combination ashtrays with an integrated waste bin are particularly space-saving and hygienic. To further increase comfort, we also offer weatherproof benches, standing tables, and integrated lighting systems.

From a technical standpoint, a level concrete foundation at the site is mandatory. The smoking shelter is professionally anchored to it using robust base plates to guarantee the necessary stability and structural safety under wind loads.

Yes, we assist you starting with the selection of the right size, taking maintenance and ease of cleaning into account. In addition to detailed documentation for efficient installation, we also offer a professional installation service for a code-compliant setup.

The optimal size depends on your desired site capacity and the required level of protection. In practice, around 0.5 to 1 square meter of space per person is usually calculated for a comfortable standing spot.

Systems such as Modell K, Passau, or R are based on modular constructions and are available in many sizes. The range extends from compact canopies open on one side for small teams to large, almost fully enclosed smoking pavilions or cabins. We are happy to help you select the right capacity for your premises.

Fences, gates, privacy screens

We offer hot-dip galvanized and powder-coated steel (e.g. RAL 7016), stainless steel, and privacy screen infills made of aluminum, WPC, glass or larch wood. All systems are weatherproof and durable.

For maximum stability, posts are set in concrete below the frost line. On existing foundations, walls or paving, they can alternatively be securely bolted down using a base plate.

For effective privacy, heights of 180 to 200 cm are common. Depending on the municipality, height restrictions and boundary setbacks must be observed at property lines.

Depending on the state building code, enclosures up to approx. 1.50-2.00 m usually do not require a permit. Municipal development plans and boundary setbacks should nevertheless be observed.

Yes. Thanks to the modular design, the elements are installed in stepped offsets on slopes; many privacy screen systems also offer integrated height leveling.

Yes, precisely matched gates and doors are available as system additions to the fence and privacy screen systems - for a uniform look along the property line.

Staircases

Deep wear marks can be professionally sanded down and refinished. Alternatively, damaged steps can be completely re-clad with precisely fitted step covers made of scratch-resistant laminate, vinyl, or solid wood.

As with balconies, clear minimum dimensions apply to fall protection. Stair railings in residential buildings must generally have a minimum height of 90 cm; if the potential fall height exceeds 12 meters, 110 cm is required.

The basis is the so-called step formula. It states that the sum of twice the step height (rise) plus one tread depth should result in a value between 59 and 65 cm (ideally 63 cm).

DIN 18065 defines the minimum technical requirements for staircases in buildings. Among other things, it regulates the minimum flight width (often 80 cm for private living spaces), the permissible rise-to-run ratio, and requirements for railing heights.

Spiral staircases or strongly winding staircases (half-turn or quarter-turn) take up the smallest footprint. A straight staircase or a landing staircase offers the greatest walking comfort but requires considerably more space.

Heavily used staircases benefit from robust surfaces. Brushed or oiled solid wood offers natural grip; on stone staircases, matte or shot-blasted tile surfaces ensure secure footing and easy care.

• Locate the friction points between the tread and the riser.• If the underside is accessible, drive in wooden wedges and screw the steps down firmly.• Alternatively, color-matched acrylic sealant can be pressed into the creaking joints to buffer the tension.

According to most state building codes, a secure handrail is mandatory from three consecutive steps. For very wide staircases in public buildings, handrails must be installed on both sides.

No, this is prohibited under building law. Space-saving staircases have a very steep profile and irregular steps and may only be used as access to so-called secondary spaces (such as an attic loft), but not to provide access to a fully-fledged living space.

Burglary protection

Yes, the KfW development bank (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau) supports mechanical and electronic burglary protection in existing buildings. Through special funding programs (such as 455-E), homeowners can receive attractive grants for retrofits.

• Replace old roller cam fittings with mushroom-head cams that hook deep into the strike plate.• Install lockable window handles (at least 100 Nm resistance).• For highly exposed windows, additionally fit screw-on locks on the hinge side.

Solid mechanical security always takes priority, as it physically locks the intruder out. The most effective measures are all-around mushroom-head cam fittings for windows and horizontal bar locks on entrance doors.

RC stands for “Resistance Class” and indicates how long an element withstands a break-in attempt with specific tools. The criminal police recommend at least class RC 2 for private households.

Yes, they are a very important addition to basic mechanical security. They effectively prevent an intruder from reaching through after breaking the glass and unlocking the window from the inside.

Street furniture, home & garden

This includes seating benches and park benches, bin storage boxes, bike racks, raised beds, beverage crate racks and canopies - robust equipment for public spaces, businesses and private gardens.

Mainly hot-dip galvanized or powder-coated steel and rust-free stainless steel, often combined with weather-resistant hardwood such as bangkirai or larch.

Yes. The solid constructions are designed for intensive continuous use in parks, municipalities, schools and on company premises, and are manufactured in accordance with DIN EN 1090.

Many products are delivered fully assembled - details can be found in the respective product description. Everything is handcrafted in Germany.

Yes, many elements can be bolted down or set in concrete - this increases stability and protection against theft and vandalism.

Sheet metal work

Components that protrude above the roof are heavily exposed to extreme weather. Professional sheet metal cladding permanently protects these sensitive transition areas from leaks and offers low-maintenance long-term protection for the chimney and roof structure.

Sheet metal wall copings prevent water from penetrating unprotected wall tops or parapets. This effectively prevents frost damage and cracks in the masonry, which significantly extends renovation intervals.

The controlled drainage of rainwater via metal gutters and downpipes protects the building fabric from water damage. It is the most important prerequisite for a permanently dry facade and a stable building foundation.

Sheet metal roofs impress with low weight, high storm resistance, and quick installation. Especially for large spans or low roof pitches, profiled sheet metal roofs are a technically superior and attractive solution.

Copper is extremely durable and suitable for the highest demands. It is available in a classic bright finish, as a pre-weathered variant in patina brown or patina green, or with a tinned surface, and protects the building fabric for decades.

Bright titanium zinc only forms a natural protective layer over time through weathering. The pre-weathered version already has an elegant, matte gray surface ex works that immediately looks homogeneous and is insensitive to marks.

Aluminum is an extremely lightweight, absolutely rust-free material that puts hardly any load on the structure. Since it is available both bright and in all RAL colors, it offers maximum freedom for individual architectural color accents.

Stainless steel offers maximum resistance to corrosion and environmental influences outdoors. Available with a bright or tinned surface, the material provides a particularly elegant, modern look and decades of durability.

Galvanized iron sheet is a particularly robust and economical solution for protecting buildings. For increased corrosion protection and visual matching to the roof, it is available classically bright or with an additional color coating.
