  • Larch and Douglas Fir Wood:These native conifers are characterized by a high resin content, which acts as a natural wood preservative. Larch is considered one of the hardest conifers and is particularly dimensionally stabledue to its toughness. Both wood types develop a silver-gray patina over time without surface treatment, which does not affect their natural durability.
  • Bangkirai Wood:As a tropical hardwood, Bangkirai offers exceptionally high density and strength. It is one of the most durable woods for outdoor use and exhibits very high resistanceto fungal and insect infestation. Due to its mechanical resilience, Bangkirai remains stable for decades, even under extreme weather conditions.

Technical Advantages of the Construction

The combination of both materials optimally utilizes the specific advantages of each. The supporting frame made of stainless steel (V2A) forms the static backbone of the unit. This prevents the warping or distortion of components often seen in purely wooden constructions. The wooden slats are integrated into the system in a way that ensures sufficient rear ventilation. This minimizes moisture build-up inside the box and reduces thermal heating of the waste containers in summer, counteracting excessive odor formation.
