Double-wire mesh fences represent a technically sophisticated solution for the permanent enclosure of private properties, commercial areas, and public facilities. Technical specifications and load-bearing capacity: Importance of wire thicknesses

The load-bearing capacity and mechanical resistance of a double-wire fence are primarily defined by the chosen wire thicknesses. These are usually specified in triplet numbers, such as...5:4:5,6:5:6,6:6:6,6:8:6or8:6:8The meaning of these numbers is technically defined:

  • Thefirst and third numberSpecifies the diameter of the two horizontal rods in millimeters.
  • Themiddle numberSpecifies the diameter of the vertical rod in millimeters.

The general effect of these dimensions on the fence system is directly proportional to the material thickness: the higher the wire diameters are chosen, the higher the static load-bearing capacity, the dimensional stability and the resistance to mechanical influences.

While lighter variants such as 5:4:5 or 6:5:6 are often used in private areas for classic fencing, heavier versions such as 8:6:8 offer maximum stability for industrial applications or locations with increased security requirements.

A standard fence panel has a width of 2510 mm and a mesh size of 50 x 200 mm. Available heights range from 800 mm to 2400 mm, with increments of 200 mm. A technical detail is the approximately 30 mm long fence finial, which can be mounted pointing upwards or downwards, depending on security requirements or aesthetic preferences.

Corrosion protection and surface finishing

To guarantee a lifespan of several decades, all fence components undergo a multi-stage finishing process. The basis is hot-dip galvanizing according to [standard/regulation].DIN EN ISO 1461This coating effectively protects the steel from oxidation and rust. An optional subsequent powder coating further enhances corrosion protection and allows for color integration into the surroundings. A key element is the inclusion of privacy strips made of weather-resistant plastic, which are woven into the mesh of the fence panels. This transforms the transparent wire fence into an opaque barrier, providing privacy and also acting as a windbreak. Additional accessories, such as aluminum post caps, base plates for mounting on concrete surfaces, and integrated fence lighting, can be configured to meet specific requirements.

Two installation methods are available: setting the posts in concrete for maximum stability or anchoring them to existing foundations or paved surfaces using base plates. Diese Zahlen geben die Drahtstärken in Millimetern an. Die erste und dritte Zahl beziffern den Durchmesser der beiden waagerechten Stäbe, die mittlere Zahl den des senkrechten Stabes. Schwere Ausführungen wie 8:6:8 bieten maximale Stabilität für Industrie und hohen Sicherheitsbedarf, während leichtere Varianten ideal für Privatgrundstücke sind.

Ein Standard-Zaunelement hat eine feste Breite von 2510 mm und eine Maschenweite von 50 x 200 mm. Die verfügbaren Höhen reichen flexibel von 800 mm bis zu 2400 mm und sind in präzisen Schritten von 200 mm wählbar.

Dank einer hochwertigen Feuerverzinkung nach DIN EN ISO 1461 ist der Stahl dauerhaft vor Rost geschützt. Die optionale Pulverbeschichtung in Anthrazit (RAL 7016) oder Moosgrün (RAL 6005) macht den Zaun zudem UV-beständig und vollkommen wartungsfrei.

Ja, das ist problemlos möglich. Witterungsbeständige Sichtschutzstreifen aus Kunststoff können einfach nachträglich in die Maschen der Zaunmatten eingeflochten werden, um eine blickdichte Barriere und einen effektiven Windschutz zu schaffen.

Für maximale statische Stabilität im Erdreich wird das Einbetonieren der Pfosten empfohlen. Bei bereits vorhandenen Betonfundamenten, Mauern oder gepflasterten Flächen können die Pfosten stattdessen mittels stabiler Bodenplatten sicher aufgedübelt werden.

Die ca. 30 mm langen Zaunspitzen können wahlweise nach oben oder nach unten zeigend montiert werden. Nach oben gerichtet dienen sie als Übersteigschutz für mehr Sicherheit, nach unten gerichtet minimieren sie das Verletzungsrisiko für Kinder und Haustiere.

Komplettsets beinhalten bereits alle notwendigen Komponenten wie Zaunmatten, passende Pfosten und das gesamte Befestigungsmaterial für die gewählte Zaunlänge. Das erleichtert die Planung und garantiert, dass alle Teile optimal zusammenpassen.

Für die Fixierung stehen Systeme wie durchgehende Abdeckleisten oder einzelne Klemmhalter zur Auswahl. Zudem lässt sich der Zaun mit Aluminium-Pfostenkappen, Bodenplatten oder integrierten Zaunbeleuchtungen bedarfsgerecht konfigurieren.

Durch die modulare Bauweise der Systeme lässt sich der Zaun präzise an unterschiedliche Geländeverläufe anpassen. Bei Hängen oder Gefällen werden die einzelnen Zaunmatten an den Pfosten einfach stufenweise versetzt montiert.
