Double-wire mesh fences represent a technically sophisticated solution for the permanent enclosure of private properties, commercial areas, and public facilities. Technical specifications and load-bearing capacity: Importance of wire thicknesses

The load-bearing capacity and mechanical resistance of a double-wire fence are primarily defined by the chosen wire thicknesses. These are usually specified in triplet numbers, such as...5:4:5,6:5:6,6:6:6,6:8:6or8:6:8The meaning of these numbers is technically defined:

  • Thefirst and third numberSpecifies the diameter of the two horizontal rods in millimeters.
  • Themiddle numberSpecifies the diameter of the vertical rod in millimeters.

The general effect of these dimensions on the fence system is directly proportional to the material thickness: the higher the wire diameters are chosen, the higher the static load-bearing capacity, the dimensional stability and the resistance to mechanical influences.

While lighter variants such as 5:4:5 or 6:5:6 are often used in private areas for classic fencing, heavier versions such as 8:6:8 offer maximum stability for industrial applications or locations with increased security requirements.

A standard fence panel has a width of 2510 mm and a mesh size of 50 x 200 mm. Available heights range from 800 mm to 2400 mm, with increments of 200 mm. A technical detail is the approximately 30 mm long fence finial, which can be mounted pointing upwards or downwards, depending on security requirements or aesthetic preferences.

Corrosion protection and surface finishing

To guarantee a lifespan of several decades, all fence components undergo a multi-stage finishing process.
