Ornamental Fence BARCELONA – Double-Rod Mesh Fence 6/6/6 with Diamond Ornament

BARCELONA is a double-rod mesh fence with a row of diamond-shaped decorative elements welded into the top panel. Horizontal borders frame the pattern and give the head section a clean edge. Seen from the street, the fence therefore looks calmer and more refined than a plain mesh panel, without you having to move into a different class in terms of stability or price.

The decorative elements are part of the panel, not an attached component. They are galvanized and coated together with it and therefore cannot come loose later or develop rust marks of their own.

Why 6/6/6

With 6/6/6, the horizontal double rods and the vertical rods have the same diameter of 6 mm. The mesh therefore catches the light more evenly than a 6/5/6 panel, and the ornament in the head section has enough material to stay dimensionally stable. At fence heights from 1200 mm you notice the difference most clearly.

What is included in the set

You receive the fence panels and the matching number of posts of the VAP type. There the panel runs behind a profile cover strip that grips over the fastening; from the outside you see a continuous profile instead of individual clamping points. Cover strip, stainless steel screws and plastic cap are included. Post profile 60 x 40 mm, designed for setting in concrete, post length matching the selected fence height.

Measuring before you order

Calculate the fence length using the axial post spacing, not the panel width. From post center to post center, one bay measures slightly more than the 2510 mm of the panel itself. With a total length of 10 m, the set therefore contains four fence elements and five posts; the last post closes off the row.

Wherever you connect to a house wall, a wall or a gate, you additionally need a fence connection strip or a connection bracket. You will find both under Fence Connections & Connectors. Matching base plates, if you want to bolt onto a wall coping instead of setting the posts in concrete, can be found under Base Plates, Anchors & Screws.

Corrosion protection

Hot-dip galvanizing in a dip bath means that the zinc also sits where the rods are welded together. It is precisely at these points that a merely painted fence starts to rust first. Under normal weather conditions it takes around 30 years for the zinc layer to be used up; the powder coating in RAL 7016 extends this considerably once again.

If you shorten a panel, seal the cut edge with zinc spray and then with paint spray. We stock both under Paint & Touch-Up.

Questions and Answers

These numbers indicate the wire thicknesses in millimeters. The first and third numbers refer to the diameter of the two horizontal wires, the middle number to that of the vertical wire. Heavy versions such as 8:6:8 offer maximum stability for industry and high security needs, while lighter variants are ideal for private properties.

A standard fence panel has a fixed width of 2510 mm and a mesh size of 50 x 200 mm. The available heights range flexibly from 800 mm to 2400 mm and can be selected in precise increments of 200 mm.

Thanks to high-quality hot-dip galvanizing to DIN EN ISO 1461, the steel is permanently protected against rust. The optional powder coating in anthracite (RAL 7016) or moss green (RAL 6005) also makes the fence UV-resistant and completely maintenance-free.

Yes, that is easily possible. Weather-resistant plastic privacy strips can simply be woven into the mesh of the fence panels afterwards to create an opaque barrier and effective wind protection.

For maximum structural stability in soil, setting the posts in concrete is recommended. On existing concrete foundations, walls, or paved surfaces, the posts can instead be securely bolted down using sturdy base plates.

The approx. 30 mm long fence spikes can be mounted pointing either upward or downward. Pointing upward, they serve as a climb-over deterrent for added security; pointing downward, they minimize the risk of injury for children and pets.

Complete sets already include all necessary components such as fence panels, matching posts, and all fastening material for the chosen fence length. This simplifies planning and guarantees that all parts fit together perfectly.

Systems such as continuous cover strips or individual clamp holders are available for fixing the panels. The fence can also be configured as needed with aluminum post caps, base plates, or integrated fence lighting.

Thanks to the modular design of the systems, the fence can be precisely adapted to different terrain profiles. On slopes or gradients, the individual fence panels are simply mounted on the posts in a stepped arrangement.
