Base Plates, Anchors & Screws
Base plates, anchors and fixing screws
Not every post can be set in concrete. On an existing concrete wall, a patio slab or an L-shaped retaining wall the base plate comes into play: adapter into the post tube from below, plate doweled down, done.
Which plate for what
For fence posts 60 x 40 mm there is the straight version, an angled version for mounting on a vertical surface, a masonry plate for the narrow wall crown and a sloped plate for when the substrate is not level. Because of the leaf weight, gate posts need the larger plate in 80 x 80 mm.
Anchoring
We supply the matching bolt anchors along with them – in hot-dip galvanized steel for the standard case and in V2A stainless steel wherever the anchorage gets permanently wet or stands close to the coast. Check the load-bearing capacity of the substrate beforehand: a base plate is only as good as the concrete it sits in.
