Uranus VSG stainless steel glass canopy – mono-pitch roof with two or three support brackets

The Uranus canopy is a stainless steel mono-pitch roof with 12 mm clear laminated safety glass. In the smaller widths it manages with two support brackets, which makes it look lighter than the Comet and Sirius with three or four brackets. With a 20° pitch, the water runs off quickly towards the front.

24 standard sizes: width 1,400 to 2,400 mm in 200 mm increments, projection 800, 900, 1,000 or 1,200 mm. The overall height follows from the projection:

Rain gutter

You select the stainless steel rain gutter (round, Ø 60 mm) directly in the dropdown. Without a gutter the water runs off over the front edge; with a gutter it is collected and drained off to the side. The surcharge depends on the roof width and is already included in the variant price shown.

What to look out for when choosing

Measure the width of the area above the door that is free of window sills, lights and downpipes. The projection should cover the top step; if there is a landing in front of the door, 1,000 mm or more makes sense. From 1,800 mm width a third bracket sits in the middle, so no window and no light may be in the way there. Below the mounting rail the brackets need load-bearing masonry or concrete. If you have an external thermal insulation composite system, please talk to us before ordering.

On request and at extra cost, a matte glass film and a self-cleaning effect (Pilkington Activ) are available. For acrylic glass models, additional versions such as satin finish or clear textured are possible.

A small front door porch roof is exempt from permits in most federal states. In the case of listed buildings or if the porch roof extends into the public street space, the building authority should be contacted in advance.
