Topas VSG aluminum glass canopy – gutter at the front, open at the sides

The Topas VSG canopy is an aluminum mono-pitch roof with laminated safety glass, the basic version of the Topas range with real glass. The gutter sits along the front edge, the sides stay open. The water drains off in a controlled way through the water spout instead of running down the facade. If you also need protection from the side, the Topas 1 VSG is the version with a three-sided gutter and side glazing.

  • Drainage via one water spout (standard position 6); from 2,400 mm width two spouts at positions 5 and 6

28 standard sizes: width 1,400 to 2,600 mm in 200 mm increments, projection 800 to 1,100 mm in 100 mm increments. The overall height of the roof follows from the projection:

Available at no extra charge in RAL 9016 white, RAL 7016 anthracite matte, RAL 9007 gray aluminum matte and DB 703 iron mica matte. The fine-texture finishes in RAL 7016 anthracite and DB 703 iron mica as well as the stainless steel look version are available at an extra charge; the surcharge is already included in the variant price shown. Further RAL shades on request.

What to look out for when choosing

Measure the width of the area above the door that is free of window sills, lights and downpipes. The projection should cover the top step; if there is a landing in front of the door, 1,000 mm or more makes sense. The brackets need a load-bearing base of masonry or concrete. If you have an external thermal insulation composite system, please talk to us before ordering.

On request and at extra cost, a matte glass film and a self-cleaning effect (Pilkington Activ) are available. For acrylic glass models, additional versions such as satin finish or clear textured are possible.

A small front door porch roof is exempt from permits in most federal states. In the case of listed buildings or if the porch roof extends into the public street space, the building authority should be contacted in advance.
