Saturn VSG Stainless Steel Glass Canopy – Mono-Pitch Roof with 22.5° Pitch

The Saturn canopy is a mono-pitch roof made of stainless steel with 12 mm laminated safety glass. At 22.5° it has a steeper pitch than the 20° models Comet, Sirius and Uranus: leaves and snow slide off and the glass stays clean longer. On this model the overall height depends on the width, not on the projection (see table).

12 standard sizes: width 1,400, 1,600, 1,800 or 2,000 mm, projection 800, 900 or 1,000 mm. The overall height results from the width:

Rain gutter

You select the stainless steel rain gutter (rectangular, 70 × 70 mm) directly in the dropdown. Without a gutter the water runs off over the front edge; with a gutter it is collected and drained off to the side. The surcharge depends on the projection and is already included in the variant price shown.

What to look out for when choosing

Add the overall height to the door height: with a width of 2,000 mm the Saturn needs 495 mm of wall space above the lintel. Measure the width of the area above the door that is free of window sills, lights and downpipes. The projection should cover the top step. The fastening needs load-bearing masonry or concrete; with external thermal insulation composite systems, please contact us before ordering.

The canopy comes complete with a matching glass pane, shipping free of charge. Professional installation by our team is available on request.

Note: Load assumption 75 kg/m²; additional loads according to DIN EN 1991 are not considered.

On request and at extra cost, a matte glass film and a self-cleaning effect (Pilkington Activ) are available. For acrylic glass models, additional versions such as satin finish or clear textured are possible.

A small front door porch roof is exempt from permits in most federal states. In the case of listed buildings or if the porch roof extends into the public street space, the building authority should be contacted in advance.
