Kristall 2 Aluminum Canopy with Acrylic Glass – Mono-Pitch Roof with Rain Gutter on Three Sides

The Kristall 2 canopy is a mono-pitch roof made of aluminum with clear acrylic glass roofing. The rain gutter runs around the roof at the front and on both sides, and the water is drained off in a controlled way via the spout. With widths up to 3,600 mm it also covers a double door or an entrance with side panels and a landing. On request we supply the roof with lighting.

Sizes and colors

33 standard sizes: width 2,000 to 3,600 mm in steps of 200 mm, projection 825, 925, 1,025 or 1,125 mm. The overall height of the roof results from the projection:

The 1,025 mm projection is available from 2,200 mm width, the 1,125 mm projection from 2,400 mm width. In the sizes 2,000 × 925, 2,200 × 1,025 and 2,400 × 1,125 mm the middle glass panel is only around 200 mm wide. We manufacture intermediate sizes and special shapes on request.

Available at no surcharge in RAL 9016 white, RAL 7016 anthracite matt, RAL 9007 grey aluminum matt and DB 703 iron mica matt. The fine-texture surfaces in RAL 7016 anthracite and DB 703 iron mica as well as the stainless steel look version are available at a surcharge; the surcharge is already included in the variant price shown. Further RAL shades on request.

What to look out for when choosing

Measure the width of the area above the door that is free of window sills, lights and downpipes. The projection should cover the top step; with a landing in front of the door, 1,025 mm or more makes sense. Plan the water spout so that the water does not drip onto the path or the steps; from 2,400 mm width the roof has two spouts. The brackets need a load-bearing substrate of masonry or concrete. On request and at extra cost, a matte glass film and a self-cleaning effect (Pilkington Activ) are available. For acrylic glass models, additional versions such as satin finish or clear textured are possible.

A small front door porch roof is exempt from permits in most federal states. In the case of listed buildings or if the porch roof extends into the public street space, the building authority should be contacted in advance.
