Karat 1 Aluminum Canopy with Acrylic Glass – Mono-Pitch Roof for Wide Entrances

The Karat 1 canopy is a mono-pitch roof made of aluminum with clear acrylic glass roofing. It starts only at 1,800 mm width and is therefore designed for front doors with a side panel, double doors and wide entrance areas. The rain gutter catches the water and drains it off via the spout instead of letting it run down the facade.

Available at no surcharge in RAL 9016 white, RAL 7016 anthracite matt, RAL 9007 grey aluminum matt and DB 703 iron mica matt. The fine-texture surfaces in RAL 7016 anthracite and DB 703 iron mica as well as the stainless steel look version are available at a surcharge; the surcharge is already included in the variant price shown. Further RAL shades on request.

What to look out for when choosing

Measure the width of the area above the door that is free of window sills, lights and downpipes. The projection should cover the top step; with a landing in front of the door, 1,025 mm or more makes sense. The brackets need a load-bearing substrate of masonry or concrete. With external thermal insulation composite systems, please contact us before ordering.

On request and at extra cost, a matte glass film and a self-cleaning effect (Pilkington Activ) are available. For acrylic glass models, additional versions such as satin finish or clear textured are possible.

A small front door porch roof is exempt from permits in most federal states. In the case of listed buildings or if the porch roof extends into the public street space, the building authority should be contacted in advance.
