Platin on Substructure – Cantilevered Aluminum Canopy for High Snow Loads & Large Roof Areas

Innovative Fastening for Maximum Stability

Discover the new fastening solution for our Platin on Substructure model range! This technique enables the installation of a cantilevered aluminum canopy that can withstand high snow loads and cover large roof areas without support posts.

What Makes the Platin Canopy on Substructure So Special?

Unlike conventional cantilevered canopies, which are mounted directly to the wall and exert high forces on the frame profile, our innovation uses a special substructure of cantilever brackets and wall plates. This technique offers the following advantages:

  • Optimal Stability: Loads are not transferred directly to the wall but are absorbed by the substructure.
  • Flexibility: The brackets can be positioned variably depending on the load.
  • Concealed Installation: The substructure remains invisible after installation.
  • Large Spans: Support distances of up to 6.5 meters possible.
  • High Snow Loads up to 300 kg/m²: Depending on the altitude of the customer's project, we adjust the number of substructure brackets. This allows us to flexibly adapt the statics – usable even in snowy regions, without compromising safety.
  • Compatible with all Platin side panel variants and corner posts.
  • Optional LED Lighting: 1 transformer, 3 spotlights, motion sensor.

Patented Technology

The Platin on Substructure aluminum canopy is registered with utility model protection (No. 30 2024 111 378.9) – a unique, high-quality product that enhances your property visually and functionally.

Technical Details (245 mm)

  • Substructure: Cantilever brackets and wall plate (concealed within the canopy)
  • Upper Cladding: Aluminum, uncoated
  • Lower Cladding: Closed aluminum panels
  • Drainage: 1 spout (standard position 11); for canopy width > 2,500 mm, two spouts (position 8/11)
  • Support Bracket: Galvanized wall plate 200 x 200 x 15 mm (prepared for M16/M12), galvanized flat bar 70 x 12 mm

Efficient Drainage

The Platin canopy features a hidden, pyramid-shaped folded aluminum cladding that drains water in a controlled way – optionally via a side water spout or concealed through the corner post or the closed side panel.

Individual Custom Manufacturing

Each Platin Canopy on Substructure is manufactured precisely according to the structural conditions on-site or based on technical planning documents – for a perfect-fit solution. We are happy to advise you in detail and together find the optimal solution for your requirements.

Questions and Answers

Instead of loading the wall directly, a concealed support structure made of cantilever blades and wall plates carries the loads. This makes large, cantilevered porch roofs possible without visible supports - the support structure remains invisible after installation.

Up to 300 kg/m². Depending on the altitude, we adjust the number of support blades and dimension the structural design accordingly - also for snowy regions.

Thanks to the support frame technology, support spacings of up to 6.5 meters are feasible - ideal for wide entrances and large roof areas.

Yes, the Platin on support frame model is registered with utility model protection (No. 30 2024 111 378.9).

The load-bearing structure is made of powder-coated aluminum (any RAL color) or stainless steel. Depending on the model, the roof and side panel infills consist of aluminum, laminated safety glass (VSG), aluminum or real wood glazing bars.

A concealed, folded aluminum roof covering channels the water in a controlled way - either via a lateral water spout or, optionally, concealed through the corner support or the closed side panel.

The porch roofs are delivered as prefabricated, ready-to-install elements - without extensive assembly on site. On request, we also offer professional installation by our team.

A small front door porch roof is exempt from permits in most federal states. In the case of listed buildings or if the porch roof extends into the public street space, the building authority should be contacted in advance.

Yes. In addition to standard sizes, we build custom constructions made to measure. Options include LED lighting (spot lights or a surrounding strip, also with motion detector) as well as a mailbox with doorbell system integrated into the side panel.
