What is the difference between a bicycle shed and a bike house?
The terms are often used synonymously but differ in height and access:
- Bicycle shed: compact, lower design. The bicycle is pushed in – ideal if the view from ground-floor windows should remain unobstructed.
- Bike house: higher, walk-in version. You walk in upright and can conveniently park bikes, e-bikes, and accessories.
- Bike shelter: open shelter that protects against rain and snow – for public and commercial parking spaces with many bikes.
Many of our models combine both: a closed, lockable bike house with an optional covered area.

Whether a permit is required depends on the federal state, size, and location. Smaller bicycle sheds are often exempt from procedures in many places, while larger bike houses may require a permit. Die tragende Konstruktion besteht aus rostfreiem Edelstahl V2A – besonders witterungsbeständig und wartungsarm. Für die Verkleidung wählen Sie zwischen Edelstahl-Lochblech oder einer Holzverkleidung aus Douglasie. Gefertigt in Deutschland.
Ja. Unsere geschlossenen Fahrradhäuser und Fahrradgaragen sind mit Türen ausgestattet und abschließbar. So sind auch hochwertige E-Bikes und Pedelecs zuverlässig vor Diebstahl und Witterung geschützt.
