The Dresden canopy system combines functionality with modern design. Whether as a weather-protected bus shelter in public spaces or as a robust smoking shelter, a breaktime canopy for employees & students – the type-tested steel construction withstands harsh weather conditions with a snow load of 2.50 kN/m².

    Material and Construction

    • Framework: The heavy-duty steel construction consists of five square tube supports with base plates for secure ground mounting by bolting down. The entire construction is hot-dip galvanized.
    • Roof: Elegant lean-to roof with composite safety glass (VSG) in a frosted glass look according to DIN 18008.
    • Side and Rear Walls: The walls are made of clear single-pane safety glass (ESG) and are securely fastened with high-quality glass holders. They are included in the scope of delivery.
    • Drainage: An integrated water box made of multi-folded and stiffened sheet steel with an integrated rain gutter ensures clean water drainage.
    • Paint Finish: Environmentally friendly two-component paint with corrosion protection class C4 medium. Standard delivery in RAL 7016 (Anthracite Grey), individual RAL colors are available upon request (excluding pearl and signal colors).
    • Load Capacity: The system has a preliminary static test and is designed for a snow load of 2.50 kN/m².

     

    Important Installation Notes

    • Fastening: Installation is carried out by bolting down the base plates onto a customer-provided foundation.Foundation plans: Foundation plans will be provided after order confirmation.

    • Delivery Form: You have the choice between a practical kit (BS) for self-assembly or fully assembled delivery ex works (standard for the UP version).

    • Color Scheme: While RAL 7016 is standard, the waiting shelter can be colored to match almost any corporate design or urban landscape.
