A ground screw foundation is a ground anchor that is screwed directly into the soil instead of using a conventional concrete foundation. It provides a load-bearing, immediately usable base for posts and structures – with no excavation, no concrete, and no long curing times. The Maxerio D60 model features a stainless steel adapter plate for easy post mounting.
Compared to a concreted foundation, the ground screw foundation scores in several respects:
Immediately load-bearing: Construction can continue right after installation – no drying time.
Clean & dry: No mixing of concrete, no excavation, and no disposal.
Removable without residue: The foundation can be unscrewed and reused if needed.
Height adjustment: Minor unevenness can be compensated for via the adapter plate.
The ground screw foundation is screwed vertically into undisturbed soil using suitable tools – by hand with an installation bar or by machine. The post is then attached to the stainless steel adapter plate. For a permanently secure hold, we recommend checking the soil conditions beforehand; in very stony or rocky ground, pre-drilling may be necessary.
