Outdoors, bare steel quickly develops a characteristic red-brown patina of noble rust for a rustic look. Hot-dip galvanized steel, on the other hand, is finished in a zinc bath, which keeps it permanently protected from rust and preserves its silver metallic appearance.

Bare steel only develops surface rust (noble rust) outdoors. Since our forged stakes are made of solid material, their structural stability as a support for your plants remains fully intact for many decades.
