PV & Solar Fences – Privacy Meets Photovoltaics

PV and solar fences combine fencing with integrated photovoltaics and active solar power generation. Instead of using roof surfaces, the property boundary becomes a functional PV and solar area that provides privacy and simultaneously generates electricity. The PV solar fence is designed as a kit and is suitable for private customers as well as specialist companies (electricians, PV installers, fence and metal constructors).

Well-thought-out Fence Concept: Stable aluminum posts with grooves for accommodating frameless glass-glass PV modules. Fixing is done without screws using a glass-groove seal – simply insert the modules, align them, and securely fix them. Alternatively, standard framed PV modules can be used in combination with special aluminum brackets that fit any module without drilling into the module.

The cables are safely concealed and protected by specially designed sheet metal covers. The cabling runs downwards and through conduits in the ground to the inverter or to connect further fence sections.

Questions and Answers

A PV or solar fence combines a classic property fence with integrated photovoltaics. Instead of using roof space, the property boundary itself becomes an active solar surface: it provides privacy while generating electricity at the same time. The modules stand vertically and deliver yield throughout the day – especially in the morning and evening hours.

The PV solar fence is designed as a kit and is aimed at both private customers and professional installers:

  • Private customers: who want to assemble the fence themselves and have the electrical connection carried out by a professional.
  • Professionals: electricians, PV installers, and fence and metal construction companies offering the fence as a turnkey solution.

The sturdy aluminum posts feature grooves that accept frameless glass-glass modules. The modules are secured entirely without screws using a glass-groove seal – insert the module, align it, and it is held securely. Alternatively, standard framed modules can be mounted using special aluminum brackets that fit any module without having to drill into it.

The cables are safely concealed and protected from the weather by custom-made sheet metal covers. The wiring runs downward and through conduits in the ground to the inverter or to connect additional fence sections. This keeps the look clean and the electrical components protected.

The system has a modular design, so you can extend the fence length flexibly:

  • Base module: forms the starting point and includes 1 module with 2 posts – a complete, fully free-standing first fence section.
  • Extension module: extends an existing installation by 1 module with 1 post, as the neighboring post is shared.

Yes. Thanks to the vertically standing glass-glass modules, the fence acts as an opaque property boundary and takes on the function of a privacy screen. At the same time, the same surface generates solar power – so the fence fulfills two purposes at once.
