Mechanical burglar protection is the most effective and at the same time most affordable retrofit: Unlike purely electronic systems, it physically deters burglars. Window grille, security bar or expandable grille – what's the difference?

  • Window grille: permanently welded grille (square, round or decorative bars) for durable, classic protection – with a lock to open if desired.
  • Security bar: discreet stainless steel bar, cheaper than a grille; models III and IV also offer saw protection with an internal rolling bar.
  • Expandable grille (Flexi Window Grill): continuously adjustable to the window width and – patented – to open; ideal if the window needs to remain accessible.

Why mechanical burglar protection?

Motion detectors and surveillance cameras are useful, but alone do not offer physical protection. The retrofitting of burglar-resistant windows is expensive. Stable window grilles, expandable grilles or stainless steel security bars are the cost-effective, effective alternative – and enhance the facade visually. Another advantage: the window can remain tilted or open despite protection.

All products are custom-made to your reveal dimensions – simply enter the measurements into the online configurator and instantly get the price. The type of fastening can be selected: on the outer wall with or without a windowsill or in the reveal. Special security screws with an impact star are used for tamper-proof installation. You can install it yourself – you'll find the appropriate fastening set for your wall type in the shop – or commission our installation team.

Materials and finishes

You can choose between rust-free V2A stainless steel (ground), hot-dip galvanized steel or hot-dip galvanized and additionally powder-coated steel in any RAL color. The bars consist of solid material; production is professionally welded according to DIN EN 1090.

You select the matching mounting kit for your wall in the shop; self-installation is easy, and an installation service is available on request.

Yes. The window can still be tilted or opened behind the grille or bar. On request, we manufacture window grilles with a hinge and lock, and the extendable grille can be opened via a push lock – practical for cleaning, ventilation, or as a second escape route.
